Reflecting on Responsibility
First of all, did you do yesterday’s assignment which was to take responsibility for one aspect, or blame subject, in your life?
What I have personally found in my life is that the more honest I am with myself and the more ownership I take for everything in my life, the more empowered and capable I feel to both change things in my life AND to create the life I want to live.
You see, while you can’t control some things that happen to you in life, you CAN choose how you will respond to those things and how you will allow those things to impact our life. Taking responsibility for how you will respond and act puts you in control. Continuing the blame game doesn’t serve you today or your future.
The first step in assessing where you are and where you go from here is acceptance. Accept that everything that’s happened in your life to this point has happened for a reason. That reason is to get you to this very point in time where you need to make a choice. Are you going to continue down the same path that you’re on?
Do you have your desired level of abundance in the areas of time, energy, good relationships and money? Are you where you want to be at this point in your life? If not, now is the time for change. For things to change YOU must change. For you to change you must accept responsibility for everything in your life.
Then you need to consistently and routinely invest in yourself, in time and sometimes money, so that you develop the skills, mindset and behaviors to create the lifestyle of your dreams while also attracting those people, things and circumstances into your life that are intended to help you realize that life of success.
One of the most important strategies and tools I use almost every day to keep things in proper perspective, decipher the things I need to accept (and let go of) from the things I need to change and what things take priority over others is repeating the Serenity Prayer:
I have found two ways to find out what you’re supposed to do when you apply the Serenity Prayer. Both methods require you to ask and listen.
- Validation will come as a positive, sometimes energized feeling.
- You will feel nothing or a sense of confusion. This means “no”. It could mean that you have to search more to present the correct question.

Day 3: Daily Gratitude Unlocks The Law Of Abundance
Day 3 Affirmation: “I experience gratitude for everything I have in my life.”
Day 3 Assignment:
- Repeat today’s affirmation out loud as often as you can throughout the day.
- Journal any feelings and experiences you have today from this affirmation.
- Gratitude exercise: Write down 100 things you are grateful for. This is a great exercise. Write as many down as you can without assistance. If you get stuck, just do a Google search to get more ideas. You may want to use this exercise to start a gratitude journal. This is a binder or journal that you write you everything you are grateful for. Once you complete the 100 item list, just add to it each day. Whenever you’re feeling low just start reading from your gratitude journal to realize how blessed you are.
