Today we celebrate your past successes and use them to propel you into greater challenges and successes, in Day 4 of your 10 Day Transformation series. These daily exercises are based on Jack Canfield’s book, The Success Principles – 10th Anniversary Edition: How to Get from Where You Are to Where You Want to Be. This is an excellent book and I highly recommend it as one of your daily reading sources.
First off, did you complete yesterday’s homework, Transform Your Excuses Into Action? If so, that’s wonderful! You have identified those key behaviors which have been holding you back from embracing your true power and potential. While at the same time you have begun defusing the power these things have over you.
This type of deep internal personal work can be very tiring. But the work is a necessary step in your personal growth and development that will result in opening a whole new world of potential for you. So make sure you continue to work through the activity steps, but feel free to work at your own pace.
In today’s lesson you will learn a method that will recharge your batteries, build your confidence, empower you and give you the determination to achieve anything you desire and want to achieve in your life.
How Celebrating Your Past Successes Positively Affects Your Future
Research shows that the more you acknowledge your successes the more confident you will become in taking on new challenges in the future.
My Personal Experience In Applying Celebrated Past Successes
I found that back when I was in the job force as a CPA, highlighting my career successes on my professional resume or in a job interview really helped to sell my qualifications for the position, thereby, almost guaranteeing a job offer. (Note, putting a dollar figure to your success translates to dollars to your potential employers and investors.) Then I merely had to decide whether or not the position was right for me, but it put me in control and definitely built my confidence in the process. Now I am going to show YOU how to celebrate your past successes and build on these achievements to help you achieve anything you want in life!
Build On Your Past Success: Your Victory Log
For this next exercise you are going to learn how to tap into the power of your previous life achievements to propel you into future personal and professional successes. This will inspire you to keep pushing forward to accomplish even more amazing things in the near future.
In this exercise you will keep a victory log. This is a log where you track your achievements by writing down your personal and professional successes. These are accomplishments that make you feel proud, regardless of how large or small they may seem. Then when you’re about to do something scary or intimidating, read your victory log to help build your confidence and raise your self esteem.
Your Personal Victory Log Activity:
- Download the worksheet, “Acknowledge Your Positive Past“.
- Write down your biggest successes for each of the three time period of your life shown in the worksheet. Identify at least three successes, but try to identify 100 successes.
- Read your successes out loud and allow yourself to feel deep pride over what you have accomplished.
Remember, no success is too small to celebrate! The more you write down the more you’ll realize how amazing and capable you are!
If you can’t complete the exercise now remember to set aside some time so that you can complete the exercise. You deserve this and it will make a huge difference in your journey of success!
