This is Day 15 of your Affirmation Challenge where you learn some Affirmation Tweaks to Explode Your Results.
Do the questions you ask yourself really matter?
To this point in the 30 Day Challenge, we have been talking about affirmations. An affirmation is a statement about something you want to be true in your life, stated in the present tense. For example, “I am rich.”.
Negative Side Of Affirmations
Act In Faith – The key principle about affirmations is that you must take action, in faith, toward creating and attracting your end desired result.
Disbelief. Affirmation Isn’t Reality – Some people find it difficult to have faith in affirmation statements because this is not their reality. Once they say a positive affirmation like, “I am rich,” they don’t believe it and their mind immediately kicks back the response, “Yeah, right! No I’m not!”.
Affirmation Triggers A Negative Focus – Then the person starts questioning and focusing on their negating current reality truth? For example, with the affirmation, “I am rich.”, their mind responds with “I’m not rich! How come I’m not rich?” Then their mind brings up all the reasons they are not rich. And we know that whatever thoughts we focus on become and remain our reality.
Affirmation Tweak – Afformations Provide The Missing Piece
In 1997, while in the shower, Noah St. John was reflecting on this problem of affirmations and the negative focus they trigger for many people. (See the shower is where people get some of their greatest breakthroughs.)
Noah noticed that the mind naturally wants to solve problems and responds more easily and congruently with questions more than statements. For example, why is the sky blue? Notice that your mind immediately starts searching for the answer.
So Noah pondered, “If your mind is automatically searching for the answers to questions why are we going around making statements that we don’t believe?”. So he created a question for the affirmation, “I am rich”, which was “Why am I so rich?”. Or, “Why do I have so much”, or “Why have I won this last competition?”, or, “Why am I so lucky?”.
As you notice, when you ask yourself these questions, your mind automatically starts to search for an answer.
The Law Of Sowing And Reaping
You know about the Law of Sowing and Reaping, which means, you will receive (reap) those results according to what you sow. In other words, what are you sowing? Just like the Law of Attraction, you are sowing seeds of thought. But most people are sowing lousy questions like, “How come I can’t get ahead?”, “Why do I keep losing?”, “How come I can’t lose weight?”, “How come there’s more month at the end of the money?”. So when you ask lousy questions you’re going to get lousy answers. Which means a lousy life.
After thinking this through, Noah determined that instead of asking dis-empowering questions, you need to start asking empowering questions that lead to wonderful answers which leads to an amazing life. This is when Noah created the term “Afformation” based on the Latin term “Formare” which means to form or give shape to.
Affirmation is based on the Latin term “Firmare” which means to make firm. What if you’re making something firm but in the wrong form? That’s called a life you don’t want. “How come I’m such a loser?”, “How come I can’t get anyone to join my business?”, “How come I keep messing up?”, “How come I can’t lose weight?”. Again, if you ask lousy questions you get lousy, dis-empowering answers.
The Power Of Asking The Right Questions
Rather than dis-empowering questions, ask empowering questions to receive empowering answers and you will change your life. For example, “Why am I such an amazing leader?”, “Why am I such a successful winner?”, “Why do I lose and maintain my weight so easily?”, “Why do people easily join my business and buy my products?”.
Afformations change unconscious thought patterns by eliminating doubt and replacing disbelief with empowering solutions that expedite your path to success.

Creating & Applying Afformations
Make sure you use these key principles when you create and repeat afformations:
- Create your positive affirmation based on what you want.
- The affirmation can only be about and for you. You cannot change or control the actions of others.
- The affirmation must be a positive statement for what you want, not what you do not want.
- Re-state your affirmation in a question format, “Why am I…?”.
- Quiet your mind. Be open and allow the answers to flow to you.
For the remainder of the challenge we will focus on Afformations instead of Affirmations.
Day 15 Affirmation Assignment
1. For each of your affirmations that you have created and that you have been working on during this challenge create an afformation. Then write down the afformation. For example, below I provide the affirmation as “a” followed by the afformation as “b”:
a. I am courageous.
b. Why am I courageous?
a. I am confident.
b. Why am I confident?
a. I attract quality people into my life.
b. Why do I attract quality people into my life?
a. I am a 6 figure earner in my company.
b. Why am I a 6 figure earner in my company?
2. Write your experience from using afformations in your journal.
3. Share your experience in the Facebook Group, https://www.facebook.com/affirmationshower/
