Today I talk about how to face and dive into your fear. Do you have goals of living your dreams and playing big but FEAR is holding you back? Is fear controlling you? Do you fear looking bad to family, friends and peers or failing? If so, I will tell you how to face your fears head on so you can start playing big to live the life you dream of.
Fear is both personal and completely universal. Fear is an entrepreneur’s worst enemy, so face it, beat it and be a better leader, the leader you were meant to be.
What brings joy? Joy comes from the journey, not the destination. It’s the journey and the uncertainty that drives you to achieve while you learn and grow through the process of pursuing your destination of going big and chasing your dream.
The fear that is holding you back is the fear you must face dead on and dive into so that you can live the life you were intended to.
Fear is temporary.
Regret is eternal!
Think about that dream lifestyle, that relationship you want to develop, that business you’ve wanted to launch, or that dream job or career you’ve wanted to go after. Identify that fear that is holding you back? What fear makes you uncomfortable? Is it public speaking? Is it fear of success? Name it.
How To Dive Into Your Fear
Now you need to dive into that ocean of fear. Enjoy that ocean of fear. Play and swim in it. When you change your relationship with the fear to enjoy the fear it will not consume you. As you make it a consistent routine to swim and play in the fear you will begin to get comfortable with it.
From the photo above, the things that excite you is the destination or those dreams and aspirations you have. The fears are those things holding you back from achieving those dreams and aspirations. Where the two circles intersect are those things you must do and overcome to realize and live your highest potential.
Dive Into Your Fear Challenge
I challenge you to take action. Starting today do a task that forces you to dive into your fear. Play in that fear. Make experiencing and feeling this fear part of your daily routine and continue this exercise until your fear no longer controls you and you OWN IT. Once you own your fear you will feel empowered, empowered to play big, change lives and live the life you were meant to.
