This weekend I attended Network Marketing Pro’s Most Powerful Women in Network Marketing training event in Las Vegas. It was last year’s Most Powerful Women Of 2015 event held in August 2015 that really changed my path in my personal development and how I build my home business. Industry leaders, Eric and Marina Worre, did another spectacular job this weekend by providing top successful entrepreneurial women who presented topics to inspire, lead and educate the 3,000 women entrepreneurs attending the 3 day event in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Principle Of Invest Learn Teach
In building a brand and a successful home business I have learned the key principle of “Invest, Learn, Teach” (ILT) from my mentors, Eric Worre and Ray Higdon. To become a successful, influential leader where people will be attracted to you because of the value you contribute in the market place and purchase your products or join your business you must: First, invest both time and money in your personal development in the form of reading, training courses, attending company and industry events and coaching; Second, learn and implement those principles and applications you have invested in; and Third, teach to others what you have invested and learned. If you don’t teach from the notes you have learned then you’re leaving uncashed checks on the table.
Whenever I attend an event I always identify those points that I will either teach and/or implement and tag these notes with either an “I” or “T”, accordingly.
Highlights From The Most Powerful Women Event
Below I share some of the highlights from notes I took from amazing industry leaders who spoke at the Network Marketing Pro’s Most Powerful Women In Network Marketing. These keynote speakers included successful women such as Marina Worre, Rita Davenport, Diana Ross, Gloria Mayfield Banks, Carrie Dickie, Lisa Grossmann, and Whitney Husband.
Industry Leaders & Training – There is a huge demand in the industry for people willing to step up and teach/train correct business and self-improvement principles in the industry.
No Income Ceiling For Women In Network Marketing – In all professions except sales and network marketing women make far less money than men do for the same work performed. There is no ceiling for the success and money women can make in network marketing. Network marketing taps into women’s natural strengths of networking, socializing, helping others and building community to build a successful business and help others do the same.
Personal Excellence – Be committed to your own excellence by investing in your own personal growth. You should always be learning and growing.
Mindset Is Key – Success in network marketing is 80% Your Mindset and 20% mechanics. Remember that YOU have unlimited potential. Stop telling and seeing yourself with a label of limited potential. Whatever you focus on you will get more of. So if you say that you’re no good at technology, you never will be good at technology. If you or think that you will never be successful in your business then you will not be successful. Instead replace your thoughts and words to an affirmation flipping what your negative thought is. For example, say something like, “I love technology and I’m getting better at technology every day!”, and “I am so grateful to be making $100,000 each month and I able to teach my followers those same principles of success so that they are successful too.”.
Personal Responsibility & Accountability – To have growth and success you need to take responsibility for absolutely everything in your life. In addition, allow others in this industry to hold you accountable for what you say you will do. This is YOUR business. The success and failure of your business in totally your responsibility.
Entrepreneurial Business Success Plan – Your home business is a business. Treat it this way. If you owned a store on Main Street, USA and never showed up to open the store for business you would be out of business. There are expenses involved in growing your business. The most successful home business owners invest in training and coaching to become the best leaders and develop those skills and systems to make the most money and have the most success. You must develop a daily routine and consistently do those things each day to be successful. Your daily routine must include daily money-making activities. Ask yourself throughout the day, “Is this a money-making activity?”. Most importantly, have fun!
Law of Attraction – To attract the type of person you want to attract in your business, you must have those same traits. If you want independent, driven, motivated, highly productive leaders in your business then you must also have those same qualities.
Building Your Business As A Couple – When you are building your business with a partner or spouse you need to focus on each others strengths and not weaknesses. Practice the following in your partnership each day: edify each other, build on your strengths, focus on good communication (hold each other accountable to the words spoken, not mind-reading), trade expectation for communication – ask for what you want, and each person must take personal responsibility for the relationship.
Building Leaders – When building a network marketing business, you need to build leaders. The first, most critical leader you must develop is YOU! Each day you must do personal development. When looking for people to share your business opportunity, identify prospects that have entrepreneurial qualities, are hard-working and coachable. As your business grows you need to be smart with who you spend your time with. Sort and sift through your business partners. Identify potential leaders and ask them if they are ready to be a leader. Then five them a task with a deadline. For example, tell them to read GoPro by Eric Worre, tell them you will call them on a specific date at a specific time to discuss the book which they must have read by that date. Make this date no longer than 7 days out. If the person has not completed reading the book or misses the scheduled date, they are not ready to be a leader and you must continue to sort and sift. Make your leaders part of a special group where you provide daily training and mentoring. Using a Facebook secret group is great for this. Set goals and performance expectations for the leaders broken into 30, 60 and 90 day milestones.
Keys To Prospecting – Successful prospecting does not focus on the end result – the enrollment. Successful prospecting is about asking those questions, then listening intently to allow you to ask more questions to further listen and help your prospect make the right decision at that time for THEM. This evolution of communication is all about THEM and NOT you. If you ask the right questions and listen to your prospect’s answers, they will tell you exactly what they want in their life. If they say “no” to your business opportunity or your product, that’s okay. Just stay in touch with them. On average it takes about 5-7 communications with someone before they join your business.
