Are you currently experiencing adversity, setbacks, delays in success or frustration? If so, you may be questioning your choice of investing your time and money into building a home business. Or you could be placing the blame for your lack of desired results on other people or your company. As a result, you may be entertaining thoughts of quitting or joining another company.
Adversity Is The Way
However, what you are feeling is just part of the process of becoming a successful entrepreneur. Facing and overcoming adversity is the pathway to success. If you are working hard with your income producing activities like prospecting and exposure, your delay in results is just part of the process. You are learning a lot and with that comes a measure of discomfort and growth. Delayed success does not mean failure. It merely means that you have additional personal development and growth required in order to reach that next level of success.
Those who quit their home business to rejoin the job market, or they quit to join another company, they are only prolonging their growth. They are quitting on themselves. At some point they will need to face themselves and their fear in order to become the leader they need to be to create the life they desire.
Lets take the example of the blacksmith. He takes a bar of metal and places it in the hot fiery forge. Then he pulls the glowing hot metal out and pounds away at with a hammer. The blacksmith repeats these actions until the blade has reached the desired shape, length and hardness required to do the job the blade is intended for. This process removes impurities from the metal and provides strength and flexibility where needed. If the blacksmith compromises on performing any of the tasks required to make a strong blade the blade with fail. However, once the blade has undergone its refining process the blade is a beautiful shining, sharp, piece of craftsmanship and a strong, effective weapon.
Your Refining Process
Your growth is similar. You are learning and growing with each new challenge that you take on. There are no short cuts. The work is hard and sometimes unbearable. But you are not alone. All the successful people before you have had to endure and grow through the same adversity. What they have shown is that if you persevere and push through opposition, doing the same actions they have done, you will be what they are and have what they have.
Leverage The Power Of Your Adversity
There are no short cuts on the path to success. There are a series of steps required for you to advance through before you will be rewarded with the success of your dreams. Each step provides a certain return based on your adherence to certain principles. You must face the level of adversity required to prepare you for, and to prove your ability to, conduct yourself according to those principles defined by that level, or step. This is the refinement process. Each step provides a foundation for the next, with each new step adding more principles and a greater understanding of the law of success.
Success And Leadership Principles
All the steps are based on the foundation of your taking 100% responsibility for your own success and failure. Doing so empowers you to make the changes in your life and to become the person you need to become to create the success you desire.
The rest of the steps are defined below, but watch the video for more information.
